couldn't sleep last night

I was most uncomfortable last night. I couldn't figure out why I felt so terrible this morning, but now I know. I don't remember turning on my A/C, but I must have gone and done that at some point because it was on when I woke up. I don't think I slept much tho.

I almost fell asleep on the bus coming to work this morning. good thing I don't drive any more. When I got to work, it turns out the genius road workers have blocked off both sides of all three of our company's parking lots. what a bunch of smacktards. tore up the second road while the first side is still being paved.

also turns out that I'm the only member of the IT/technician team that bothered to show up to work today, and I almost called in sick because I couldn't sleep last night. The new guy hasn't shown in more than 2 weeks. only reason he even has a job here in the first place is that he's the son of one of the VP's. he doesn't even bother to call in and say "I'll be in tomorrow" any more. sigh. The manufacturing-side tech has a migraine for the second time in 3 weeks. the telecomm tech had emergency surgery last week, and is still out. ...at least the Network admin came back from vacation today.

yuki says it's 蒸し暑い　where she lives in Japan right now. I guess that we're lucky it's only hot here. 暑いだけラッキイでしょうね。

hmm... back to work I guess.
